The Best Zombie Movie in Decades Just Landed on Netflix (Along With Its Sequel)

Over the past decade or so, it seems like zombies have been dominating television, but that doesn’t mean there haven’t been some terrific zombie films in recent times. In fact, since the new millennium began, there have been several strong zombie movies released, but none compare to a 2016 thriller that crammed swarms of undead onto a speeding train and unleashed chaos.

That film you’re referring to goes by the name of “Train to Busan,” a gripping Korean zombie production directed by Yeon Sang-Ho. It boasts an astounding 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a testament to its quality since its debut over a decade ago. Known as one of the best and most exhilarating zombie films ever made, you can now watch it streaming on Netflix!

As a passionate movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the gripping horror masterpiece, “Train to Busan,” made its way onto Netflix this past Friday, significantly enriching their collection of chilling flicks. To sweeten the deal, Netflix also welcomed another pulse-pounding zombie adventure, a sequel to “Train to Busan” titled “Peninsula,” which hit screens in 2020, four years following its predecessor’s release.

Although Peninsula doesn’t have the same level of fame or adoration as Train to Busan, it remains a speedy, suspenseful zombie film that satisfies the same cravings for fans.

The re-creation of the popular Korean film “Train to Busan,” titled “The Last Train to New York,” has been under production for quite a while, but faced a setback towards the end of last year. As of now, there’s no definite schedule as to when (or if) this project will eventually commence.

What’s New on Netflix?
