Moreover, its soundtrack became the best-selling of all time and the best-selling album by a female artist of all time. Now, news about the remake confirms that the project has found both a writer and a director.

Confirmed by those supporting the movie, the director of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, Sam Wrench, is from a screenplay penned by Jonathan A. Abrams, known for his work on Juror No. 2.

Despite no official casting decisions made yet, given that Wrench directed the highly successful Eras tour film which grossed over $2 billion across 149 shows worldwide, it seems likely that Taylor Swift could be a strong contender for the lead role due to her massive fanbase ensuring box office success. However, other stars such as Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish, and Lizzo are also rumored to be in the running, all of whom have worked with Wrench on concert documentaries like “A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter.

In a more conversational style, The initial release of this movie earned approximately $411 million globally, making it one of the most successful films in 1992. Given suitable casting, it’s reasonable to expect that a remake could achieve similar impressive financial success too.
