The Boys Creator Reveals First Set Photo From Final Season

As a dedicated fan who has been following The Boys since its debut in 2019, I can’t help but feel like a kid on Christmas Eve as season 5 begins filming! With Eric Kripke at the helm, I have no doubt that this final season will be nothing short of explosive. The return of our beloved characters, including Homelander, The Deep, Black Noir, and many others, is music to my ears.

The filming for the fifth season of “The Boys” has officially commenced, as confirmed by the show’s creator and executive producer Eric Kripke. On Wednesday, Kripke shared a sneak peek from the set through his Twitter account. The picture he posted showed him with Chace Crawford (depicting The Deep), Antony Starr (portraying Homelander), and Nathan Mitchell (as Black Noir II). In the caption, Kripke expressed his gratitude towards the cast, stating “They rescued me. They rescued me in every way a man can be saved.” He accompanied this with the caption “#Season5 #BTS pic!” The highly-anticipated final season of the Prime Video superhero show is set to premiere in 2026.

Just last week, Kripke announced on Instagram that filming for The Boys’ fifth season has commenced and unveiled that the first episode is titled “Fifteen Inches of Sheer Dynamite.” Regarding new cast members joining The Boys in its upcoming season, it was recently disclosed that Mason Dye from Stranger Things will portray a character named Bombsight, who was hinted at during season 4 and is recognized as one of the oldest supes within the universe. Furthermore, Daveed Diggs, known for his roles in Snowpiercer and Hamilton, has been tapped to appear in The Boys season 5, but the specifics of his role remain undisclosed. Lastly, it was confirmed that Jessie T. Usher will reprise his role as A-Train despite rumors about his character’s departure from the show following season 4.

Production for season 5 of “The Boys” marks an exciting milestone for the series’ final chapter. While specifics about the plot remain secret, it seems that season 5 will bring a resolution to Butcher and Homelander’s intense rivalry, while leaving room for potential future stories. Once “The Boys” ends its run on Prime Video, fans won’t have to wait long as “Gen V” is set to premiere its second season in 2025. Additionally, creator Eric Kripke has hinted at additional spinoffs, including “The Boys: Mexico” and “Vought Rising,” both currently under development. In “Vought Rising,” Aya Cash will reprise her role as Stormfront and share the screen with Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy.

In 2019, a television series titled The Boys, modeled after its comic counterpart, debuted. Recently, the fourth season was broadcast from June to July of this year. The audience is eagerly awaiting the reappearance of Starr’s Homelander, Crawford’s character, the Deep, Mitchell’s Black Noir, and other notable figures such as Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid’s Hughie Campbell, Erin Moriarty’s Starlight, Laz Alonso’s Mother’s Milk, Tomer Capone’s Frenchie, Jessie T. Usher’s A-Train, and Karen Fukuhara’s Kimiko in the upcoming episodes.

The Boys Season 5 is set to premiere on Prime Video in 2026.
