In a thrilling twist for fans, the fifth season of “The Boys” is set to be infused with a touch of “Supernatural” flavor as Misha Collins and Jared Padalecki join the cast. As the series draws to a close with its final season, Amazon’s “The Boys” is pulling out all the stops by recruiting some big-name talent. While we were already aware that “Supernatural” star Jensen Ackles would be reprising his role as Soldier Boy, the fifth and final season will also see the addition of his former co-stars Misha Collins and Jared Padalecki. The announcement was made via a video on the official “The Boys” Twitter account (now known as “The Boys X”).
The post from “The Boys” hints that Season 5 might delve deeper into the supernatural, as Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins seem to be referring to some ongoing task they need to accomplish, possibly leaving them puzzled about what exactly it entails.

It’s been reported that the team behind “The Boys” is making efforts to bring Jared Padalecki into the cast. This move makes sense given that Eric Kripke, the showrunner of “The Boys,” was also the creator of “Supernatural.” They collaborated on “Supernatural” for five seasons before Kripke moved on to other projects, eventually taking charge of “The Boys.” Both Kripke and Padalecki have expressed a desire to work together again, with Padalecki discussing this possibility over the summer.
The deadline inquired about Eric Kripke’s remarks concerning Jared Padalecki appearing in The Boys during its fifth and last season. To this, Padalecki replied affirmatively to the outlet, saying “Yes.
In a recent discussion, the topic of a specific role came up. Interestingly enough, we had this conversation today, as shared by Padalecki. At this stage in his acting career, he mentioned that he’s only interested in projects that truly resonate with him or collaborations with people whom he deeply values. Given their long-standing bond, it goes without saying that Eric and he will always be connected in some profound way.
He not only produced “Supernatural,” but also brought Sam Winchester and Ruby (Genevieve Padalecki) into existence – the person I eventually married and started a family with. He’s someone I deeply respect. His humor, his character, his storytelling style all captivate me. So, I’m eagerly anticipating the start of Season 5. Although it doesn’t film until next year, I’ll be fully prepared when he calls. All I’d say is “When do I need to pack my bags?
