As a seasoned critic who has witnessed my fair share of bloodshed and carnage in the world of pop culture, I can confidently say that Jack Quaid‘s prediction for The Boys season 5 seems spot-on. With four seasons under our belts, it’s only fitting that the writers pull out all the stops for a grand finale, complete with a generous helping of murder.
With anticipation for The Boys season 5 growing ever stronger, Jack Quaid has given us a sneak peek into what’s in store – expect some chilling murders!
Certainly, Quaid, the actor portraying Hughie in the popular Prime Video series, hasn’t received any scripts yet, which means he doesn’t have precise details about what’s coming up. However, he’s openly expressed his fear of discovering what lies ahead and has made some educated guesses about the upcoming storylines.
Since this is the final season, the writers have more freedom to make decisions, and that’s quite unsettling. Therefore, I anticipate a high number of violent incidents. That seems likely, though it’s just an assumption on my part.
As a passionate Star Trek: Lower Decks fan, I shared a light-hearted moment with my fellow cast members before the start of season 5. Laughing it up, I quipped, “Imagine a Lower Decks crossover! But let’s be clear, it won’t be me [Tawny Newsome and myself] who cross over; Noël Wells and Eugene Cordero are the ones who will be joining us instead!
Summing up, Quaid mused: “But yeah, I’d say murder.”
Considering how brutal the past four seasons of The Boys have been, it’s a pretty good guess.
Although you’ll need to wait until 2026 for season 5 (including the murders), there’s exciting news to keep you engaged in the meantime – notably, some fantastic actors joining the cast.
I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be part of the Stranger Things universe, taking on the role of Supe Bombsight! Additionally, the talented Daveed Diggs is set to join us, bringing an enigmatic new character to life. Can’t wait to see what this exciting journey holds!
Following this, Quaid along with his fellow stars from Lower Decks are embarking on their last adventure in the fifth and concluding season of the Star Trek spin-off. However, they’re not regarding it as a farewell, as Quaid has expressed his willingness to portray his character, Boimler, for “a full 17 more years, precisely”.

Noël Wells noted: “It provides a pleasant interlude…perhaps we’ll emulate the Futurama style, continuing this series until we’ve become mere dust beneath the ground.
You can watch The Boys seasons 1 through 4 on Amazon Prime Video.
