I’m absolutely thrilled with how The Boys season 4 ended and the direction it sets up for the final season. As a long-time fan of the show, each finale has left us in a new state of play, but none have been as impactful and game-changing as this one.

In every finish of The Boys’ seasons, we’re left with fresh developments. Yet, no other conclusion has had as significant an impact as that of season 4, seamlessly transitioning us into the last installment.

In the final act, Butcher successfully transformed into a superbeing for keeps by absorbing V’s powers. Meanwhile, Homelander strengthened his grip on authority, effectively securing the presidency.

Straaway, he exercised his freshly acquired authority to apprehend individuals opposing him or posing a threat, such as The Boys; however, Starlight is the sole one among them still at liberty.

He expressed his opinion that the ending is excellent. Admitting honestly, he has not viewed the final episode of the series himself yet. Desiring to share the experience, he chose to wait and watch it with the fans.

Based on my recollection of the production, it has a significant effect. In other words, it leaves such an impression that one cannot easily return to their normal routine after experiencing it.

In simpler terms, the situation has changed drastically, marking a new phase in the series. The Flatiron is no longer a factor, making things chaotic. All the Boys are now divided, while Homelander, The Seven, and Vought have grown more powerful than ever before. We’ve entered the final stages of this show.

Based on my own experiences filming and being present on set, I can confidently say that we took things to a whole new level. The way I see it, the end result is a truly immersive and visceral experience for viewers.

Mitchell expressed his perspective on wrapping up the show after its fifth season, commenting: “It’s best to conclude on a strong note. We have the opportunity to share our story in the way we intend, and I believe that’s what we’re accomplishing by choosing to call it quits at five seasons.”

At the same time, actor Laz Alonso from Mother’s Milk has suggested that the series could conclude with a film based on the fifth season. However, he cautions fans not to expect this idea to become a reality.
