Amazon’s Prime Video has revealed a sneak peek of The Wheel of Time’s third season, showcasing Olivia Williams portraying Queen Morgase Trakand, the reigning monarch of Andor.
In the picture before us, the queen is seen standing beside Elaida do Avriny a’Roihan (Shohreh Aghdashloo), and it seems like a royal audience setting. Their demeanor suggests an air of authority that could inspire fear.
In the upcoming season 3, Rand will reconnect with his companions at Falme, and he’ll be recognized as The Dragon Reborn after vanquishing Ishamael in the finale of season 2.
With his connections to the past fraying apart, and his tainted influence expanding, Rand progressively transforms into a stranger to his dearest confidants, Moiraine and Egwene.
Starting on Thursday, 13th March, Season 3 will make its premiere on Amazon Prime Video, offering ample ground to explore after the dramatic conclusion of Season 2, where we were first introduced to the malevolent character, Moghedien.
In a revelation towards the end of last year, we catch a glimpse of Moiraine and Rand embarking on their trek to the Aiel Waste. With Rand’s abilities growing more potent, Moiraine finds herself in a precarious position, needing to protect him from corruption – a task that might require her to make the ultimate sacrifice.
Viewers will have to wait and see how season 3 pans out to get in all the action.
