It appears that after three Winnie the Pooh horror films and one Mickey Mouse horror film, we’re now witnessing a clash reminiscent of Jason versus Freddy in the release of The Dark Domain trailer, featuring a confrontation between Mickey and Winnie.

In this narrative, I find myself immersed in a groundbreaking film dubbed as the “first public domain crossover” and setting sail on the Dark Domain Universe voyage. This journey unfolds within the ominous Hell Forest, where monstrous figures like The Stitcher, Hellshadowers, and The Wickeds reside. Alongside us are Dark Mickey (portrayed by Daniel Wilkinson) and Dark Winnie (Chris Boudreaux), engaging in classic horror confrontations reminiscent of the Alien and the Predator. Interestingly, this project doesn’t associate Mickey with his well-known moniker “Mouse.” Instead, it references only the Mickey character from Walt Disney’s 1928 “Steamboat Willie” short that has entered the public domain.

It seems that following the release of ‘Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey,’ we might expect a surge of horror adaptations of cherished childhood stories. This movie, in particular, should boast impressive prosthetics effects, as it features makeup by Emmy-winning artist Daniel Phillips, who has previously worked on projects such as “The Hobbit” trilogy and “Oz the Great and Powerful.
