In a stunning lineup of surprises, FromSoftware appears to have outdone itself with “The Duskbloods,” an exclusive title for the rumored Nintendo Switch 2, set to launch in 2026. The initial trailer evoked strong memories of “Bloodborne,” while the game design hinted at echoes of “Elden Ring.” In a fresh press release, the developer has shared insights into the storyline and mechanics of this upcoming game.
In contrast to FromSoftware’s past games, The Duskbloods centers around PvEvP gameplay, with its core being online multiplayer. You take charge of one of the Bloodsworn, transformed former humans into vampire-like beings, who clash in combat for “First Blood” as humanity’s twilight approaches.
In a single contest, as many as eight players can engage, battling both adversaries and one another. The Bloodsworn appear to have distinct kits and talents reminiscent of the Nightfarers from Elden Ring’s Nightreign, such as a character equipped with a jetpack.
The upcoming game, Duskbloods, is indeed captivating, and its creator, Hidetaka Miyazaki, plans to share more details on April 4th. So, keep your eyes peeled as it’s slated for release in 2026 on the Switch 2!
