The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered Crosses 200,000 Concurrent Steam Players

Approximately a week after its release via “shadow-dropping,” Bethesda’s remastered version of “The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion” continues to thrive with increasing popularity. On its debut day, it attracted more than 182,000 concurrent players on Steam. Now, according to SteamDB, the remaster has surpassed that number, boasting around 205,499 active players daily.

This launch places it as the fourth largest on Steam for Bethesda Softworks, surpassed only by Fallout 4 (472,692), Starfield (330,723), and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (287,411). Remarkably, it achieved this without significant marketing efforts prior to its release, which adds to its impressive stature if you disregard the impact of rumors and leaks.

In partnership with Virtuos, the revamped version of “The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion,” titled “Oblivion Remastered,” has now been released on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC platforms for a price of $49.99, also accessible through Game Pass. Bethesda reported that over four million players have joined the game within just three days since its debut. You can read our review of the remastered version here – we awarded it nine out of ten, commending the visual upgrade, enhanced combat system, and new features like sprinting, while expressing concerns about the bugs and user interface.
