The updated version of “The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered” for PC is now available through the Steam beta branch. This update, labeled as Version 1.2, addresses various problems with quests, crashes, and other technical issues. Additionally, it introduces new difficulty settings to enhance gameplay experience.
In your new gameplay experience, you have the option to select the Journeyman mode right at the start, which is an intermediate level between Adept and Expert difficulties. This latest update addresses several glitches such as missing markers on the map, incorrectly trimmed menus at 1280×1024 resolution, controller freezing in the Enchanting menu, and other similar issues.
We’ve resolved issues that caused the game to crash, especially during challenging battles like against Jyggalag or when interacting with paralyzed NPCs. Additionally, we’ve fixed crashes that might have occurred during the Final Justice and Retaking the Fringe phases. Moreover, there are significant improvements made to address frame rate drops in specific areas of the game.
Take a look at the following updates and get more information here. As of now, we don’t have a confirmed release date for Update 1.2 across all platforms, so keep an eye out. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is already playable on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
