As a hardcore gamer who has spent countless hours navigating the labyrinthine world of The Exit 8, I can hardly contain my excitement for its live-action movie adaptation! Just over a year after its release, the news took me by surprise like a sudden appearance of one of those pesky man-traps in the game.

Toho is set to bring the thrilling live-action adaptation of the endless loop escape adventure game, “The Exit 8,” to the big screen in 2025.

Game creator KOTAKE CREATE announced that ‘Exit 8’ is being transformed into a live-action film! I never imagined a movie adaptation would be unveiled less than a year after the game’s launch in November 2023. To say I’m astonished and thankful is an understatement. Initially, I was curious about how they could convert a storyless game into a movie, but I’m now confident that they’ve created something intriguing without altering ‘Exit 8’s’ essence! I even had the chance to visit the set, and it was surreal to witness the underground passageway and characters from the game come to life right before my eyes! I can hardly wait for its premiere – I’m just as excited as everyone else!

Exit 8″ can be found on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam. In total, it has been downloaded more than 1.4 million times.
