The Fantastic Four: Composer Michael Giacchino Teases Vision

The Fantastic Four: Composer Michael Giacchino Teases Vision

As a long-time fan who has followed the evolution of Marvel Universe and its iconic characters, I am beyond thrilled about the upcoming “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.” With Michael Giacchino on board as the composer, I have no doubts that the music will perfectly capture the essence of this fresh take on the classic superhero team.

As a die-hard fan excited about “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” I’m thrilled to share that Michael Giacchino, the brilliant composer behind this upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) feature, recently chatted with John Nguyen from Nerd Reactor. During their conversation, the connection between Giacchino’s work on “The Incredibles” and the new Fantastic Four film couldn’t be ignored—both being superhero stories with a Pixar twist.

Michael Giacchino expressed his viewpoint: “They share numerous similarities and differences,” he said. “Both have their places in the world. For me, they’re two interconnected realms. The trick is distinguishing them, ensuring they remain unique rather than identical. Matt Shakman, who’s directing The Fantastic Four, is offering a fresh, exciting, and distinct approach. Just looking at it from the outside, one might think ‘this is this and that,’ but they are actually quite dissimilar and unique in their own ways. I’m eager to contribute to this project, and I believe it will be an enjoyable challenge.”

The Fantastic Four Is Fresh And New

According to Feige on The Official Marvel Podcast, our director, Matt Shakman, has already relocated to London, and production begins at the end of July, with an interesting twist – we commence shooting the very Monday following Comic-Con. As for Fantastic Four, we begin filming the day after. I’m thrilled because these characters are longstanding Marvel Universe icons that we haven’t had much opportunity to delve into or fully explore beyond a few hints in Multiverse of Madness and some tantalizing previews. So, I’m truly enthusiastic!

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but share some intriguing hints about an upcoming release! Remember that film set in the past? Well, there was another artwork we unveiled featuring Johnny Storm soaring through the sky, leaving behind a distinctive 4-shaped trail. In that artwork, you might recall a cityscape backdrop.
