With an impressive resume that includes roles in critically acclaimed shows like “The Crown” and “The Bear”, it’s clear that Moss-Bachrach has the acting chops to bring this beloved character to life.

The movie “Fantastic Four: First Steps” is now in production, but despite Marvel Studios’ efforts to keep their updated version of the Fantastic Four hush-hush, it seems that secrecy is proving difficult given the filming on outdoor locations. Recently, unauthorized set photos have surfaced, offering a sneak peek at the character designs and some intriguing practical visual effects being employed for the portrayal of Ben Grimm, better known as “The Thing,” who is played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach from “The Bear.”

In the upcoming film titled “Fantastic Four: First Steps,” Pedro Pascal (“The Last of Us”) takes on the role of Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, while Vanessa Kirby (“The Crown”) becomes Sue Storm/Invisible Woman. Ebon Moss-Bachrach (“The Bear”) steps into the boots of Ben Grimm/The Thing, and Joseph Quinn (“Stranger Things”) dons the flames as Johnny Storm/Human Torch. Julia Garner is set to appear in the film as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer, with Ralph Ineson portraying Galactus. Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne will appear in undisclosed roles. Matt Shakman (“WandaVision”) is at the helm for this movie’s direction.

Fantastic Four has a theatrical release date of July 25, 2025.
