The Fate of Pretty Little Liars Reboot Revealed After 2 Seasons

As a long-time enthusiast of television shows, I find myself quite enthused by the news that is flooding our screens this season! From the witty banter of “MAX” starring the brilliant Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder to the heartfelt farewell of “Walker”, there’s a melancholic twist in the air.

Looks like the students at Millwood High will continue to keep their secrets.

Max disclosed on September 20th that the revival of Pretty Little Liars will not be extended, but rather, the series has been terminated following its second season.

Max won’t be advancing with a third season of ‘Pretty Little Liars’,” the company explained to TV Line. “We are extremely thankful to our co-creators, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon Bring, as well as the team at Warner Bros. Television, for bringing back this revamped group of liars who unite to tackle the latest frightening mystery in Millwood.

Max commented, “The innovative and contemporary creative spirit of the team, along with the exceptional skills of our actors and technicians, infused the show with a lively, eerie perspective that honored its classic Rosewood origins.

In July 2022, the reborn series originally known as “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin” made its debut, featuring newcomers Zaria, Malia Pyles, Chandler Kinney, Bailee Madison, and Maia Reficco taking on the roles of the five main characters.

The series was the newest addition to the Pretty Little Liars universe, a franchise that launched in 2010 with its inaugural show featuring Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario, and Sasha Pieterse as main cast members.

As a devoted follower, I found myself on the edge of my seat during the second season premiere back in May, which ended with an intriguing cliffhanger. The scene depicted a group of girls, resembling our main characters, donning masks as they strolled down their high school’s hallway, leaving us viewers eagerly anticipating what comes next.

Moreover, though they won’t come back to Millwood again, the cast reminisces warmly about their time working on “Pretty Little Liars.

On September 20th, Pyles expressed to X (formerly known as Twitter), “This series profoundly impacted my life and guided many luminous individuals onto my journey. I will always be grateful for ‘Pretty Little Liars’ and everyone who made it a reality.

Costar Reficco expressed her thoughts about the cancellation in an Instagram post, saying, “What a wild 3 years! Thank you for all the affection you’ve given us; it felt like living a dream. Until next time, keep being my little liars.

Bring, a co-creator, expresses great pride in the work she and her team accomplished, sharing on Instagram that she’s “deeply grateful we were given the opportunity, especially during these times, to share compelling narratives featuring distinctive, diverse, queer, and powerful female characters. This has always been what truly mattered to us.

She expressed her heartfelt appreciation to everyone who watched, shared, and kept up late to ponder, saying, “My love and thanks go out to you all.” This event has left an indelible mark on me, and I now have no doubt that I could see a horror movie through to the end. Here’s to keeping the spirit of resilience alive! #FinalGirlVibes

But there’s still hope for an Liars reunion, especially as OG star Hale is more than ready to get back with her old castmates.

Speaking with TopMob News in June, she expressed how being apart from it now has made her value it even more. Furthermore, she mentioned that an event like this would be ideal if styled similar to ‘Real Housewives of Rosewood’, jokingly stating that it would indeed be quite entertaining.
