The final chapter of “The Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” from Rocksteady Studios is now available on PS5, free for PS Plus Essential members. As they bid farewell to this project, they have one last surprise in store – a major story rewrite. By now, I imagine many of you aren’t concerned about Suicide Squad spoilers. However, the video and text below contain a significant plot twist, although the video thumbnail may have already revealed it. My apologies!

At the climax of Episode 8, an unexpected turn of events unfolds: Batman, contrary to initial beliefs, is not deceased within the Suicide Squad universe. It seems this was part of Batman’s intricate plan for Brainiac to generate Justice League replicas, whom you had been battling in the game. To add to the surprise, the concluding plot point is presented through comic-style images instead of a conventional cutscene.
For the past year, all main introductory scenes in any post-launch content have followed this format, making it expected that this style would persist. Yet, incorporating movement to what is arguably the biggest game twist would have added a more impactful touch. The cutscene does conclude with a heartfelt tribute to Kevin Conroy, who lent his voice to Batman for over three decades and recently passed away.
