Last year, DC began its All In period, which was met with much acclaim, and they’re now preparing for the initial All In era crossover. The intense events of the DC All In Special will resurface in “We Are Yesterday”, marking the first significant crossover between DC All In. This exciting storyline is set to debut this April. Mark Waid, renowned writer of Justice League Unlimited, is partnering with a star-studded group of co-writers and artists for a three-part narrative that will span Batman/Superman: World’s Finest, Justice League Unlimited, and the Batman/Superman: World’s Finest 2025 Annual. Get an early peek at this crossover below.
In Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #38, set to hit shelves on April 16th, Gorilla Grodd takes center stage initially. On a regular day, managing Grodd’s potent psychic powers is tough for both Superman and Batman, but this time around, things are not as usual. It appears that Grodd has insights into the future, and these seem to be intertwined with Darkseid’s startling demise in the All In Special.
In Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #38, Dan Mora will debut his first of three connecting main covers, and fans can also choose from variant covers by Gavin Guidry, Adrían Gutiérrez, Elizabeth Torque, as well as a special April Fools’ Day variant cover by Brandt & Stein.
A significant portion of the narrative unfolds in Justice League Unlimited Issue 6, where readers get to learn the identity of the enigmatic cult known as Inferno. This tale involves prominent antagonists like Lex Luthor, Cheetah, The Joker, and others, but the specifics are yet to be revealed. Waid and artist Travis Moore are steering this story, and anticipate a grand confrontation when the comic book arrives in stores on April 23rd.
As a passionate movie-goer excitedly anticipating the latest comic book releases, I can’t wait for Justice League Unlimited #6! This issue will showcase the second of the three connecting covers by Mora, which is a treat for fans like me who appreciate his artistic style. Moreover, there will be variant covers available by Lee Bermejo, Nathan Szerdy, Dan Jurgens, Felipe Massafera, and Moore. Each artist brings their unique flair to the table, making it an exciting prospect to collect these different versions of the same issue.
In the third and concluding segment of the combined tale, set in the Batman/Superman: World’s Finest 2025 Annual on April 30th, the story will be penned by a trio of writers – Waid, Christopher Cantwell, and Morgan Hampton, accompanied by artists Dan McDaid and Clayton Henry. This instalment will unveil the origins of the Legion of Doom, as the League learns that DC’s most formidable villains have been devising a grand plan to bring down the entire League. Moreover, John Stewart makes his World’s Finest debut in this issue, providing some crucial support for our heroes at a critical juncture.
2025’s Batman/Superman: World’s Finest Annual will showcase Mora’s concluding connected main cover art, along with alternative covers created by Henry, Salvador Larroca, and Laura Braga.
