As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that I’ve seen a lot of twists and turns in the gaming industry. The latest announcement from Magnum Studio about the revised update schedule for “The First Descendant” has certainly caught my attention.
Magnum Studio has thoroughly prepared the debut season of “The First Descendant,” titled “Invasion,” which is set to launch on August 29th for all gamers. Despite some divided opinions in the community regarding its division into three updates, producer Lee Beom-jun has clarified that it will actually be split into just two parts instead.
Instead, here’s how you could rephrase that in a more natural and easy-to-understand manner: Starting from August 29th, the first update of the new season is ready to go live, followed by another update on October 10th. The third update, which was originally scheduled for a separate release, has now been combined with the second one.
Beom-jun acknowledged that the initial plan was to deliver monthly updates preceding each content release, but he admitted that his performance didn’t live up to your expectations. He further mentioned that the team is currently reviewing and considering new approaches for future updates.
Since the release of the free-to-play shooter in July, the developer has been consistently working on patches and immediate fixes. Now, they are exploring different strategies and techniques, including restructuring the development process and actively hiring more team members. They aim to provide improved updates that will leave you content.
As a gamer, I’m thrilled to share that “The First Descendant” is now playable on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC! However, there’s some uncertainty about how this shift in update schedule may impact the planned release of Season 2: Ancestor in December. Keep your eyes peeled for further updates in the meantime!
