When will the next episode of The Grand Tour be released?
The global release of the episode on Amazon Prime Video is set for this coming Friday, 13th September. That means we’ve got just a few weeks remaining.
The filming for the upcoming episode, a continuation of our journey from February’s Mauritanian adventure, was done in September 2023.
The Grand Tour locations
Previously, the group has shot scenes in distant lands like Colombia, Vietnam, and Switzerland. This upcoming project will also take them to remote settings.
In the latest installment, the group is set to return to Africa. They recently visited Mauritania, a country located in the northwest corner of the continent, and their journey concludes in Zimbabwe for the finale.
Regarding the destination, Clarkson mentioned: “I’ve had a soft spot for deserts, particularly the Sahara. However, it’s challenging to visit places like Mali, Libya, Algeria, Chad or even the peak of Nigeria there.”
“Afterward, our focus became identifying the least suitable vehicles for cross-Sahara journeys, and I believe we excelled at this task.”

Absolutely! The trailer for the upcoming series was shown before its premiere, showcasing clips from the final installment that brings to an end the 22-year run of this trio on screen.
