The Great Pagoda in Black Myth: Wukong explained – How to reach and what it does

As a seasoned gamer who has traversed the vast digital landscapes of countless games, I can confidently say that the Great Pagoda in Black Myth: Wukong is a true enigma wrapped in a riddle shrouded in mystery. It’s like finding a hidden treasure chest in Grandma’s attic – you know it’s there, but you’re not quite sure what’s inside.

If you’ve encountered the Great Pagoda in Black Myth: Wukong without being familiar with its purpose, it’s quite common.

This spot is breathtakingly beautiful, yet the journey to reach it can be quite strenuous. However, it seems that there’s no clear reason or objective for being here…

In a nutshell, Wukong is an expansive game filled with numerous additional missions and secret spots – the enigmatic Great Pagoda might be its most puzzling feature.

So, is it just there for decoration, or is there something else to this pretty shrine?

Let’s take a closer look at the Great Pagoda, from its exact location to its reason for existing.

How to reach the Great Pagoda in Black Myth: Wukong explained

Before we starting diving into its purpose, we’ll walk you through how to get there.

In the heart of the Pagoda Realm, one of the key areas unfolding in Chapter 3, you’ll find yourself transported once you successfully conquer the formidable Kang-Jin Loong boss.

As you make your way through the lower levels, you’ll eventually encounter a series of steps ascending towards Upper Pagoda. Continue forward and upward until you meet Captain Wisdom, another formidable opponent we must face.

He’s not too difficult, though, so there’s something. Just keep hitting his toe until he exposes his weak spot, then punish.

Following the scuffle, make your way outdoors, and you’ll come across some more steps. These steps lead to the Snow-Cloaked Pathway and its associated shrine.

Starting from the pathway, make your way across the wooden suspension bridge, after that, turn left and carry on walking for some distance. In due course, you’ll arrive at a vast snowy field.

The Great Pagoda is on the other side of a big door at the end.

What does the Great Pagoda do in Black Myth: Wukong?

Now we’re here, what do we do? Is it just a pretty room that’s here for its own sake?

Well, if you’re here in Chapter 3 and you haven’t completed the game yet, then yes.

If you’ve completed the main story, defeated numerous hidden enemies, and wrapped up numerous subquests, then the Great Pagoda serves as the entrance to an entirely new ending for Black Myth: Wukong.

After finishing the game, you’ll need to return here instead of starting a new game. Continue with the same game once the credits have finished playing.

Observe that the six paintings are beautifully displayed on the wall of the Grand Pagoda, each depicting a different chapter of the game. Don’t forget to check off these tasks as well:

  • Unlocked the Monkey King armour set and Jingubang.
  • Completed all secret areas.
  • Completed the Treasure Hunter side quest.

As a film enthusiast, if you’ve completed all the stages, upon your revisit to the majestic Pagoda, a fresh realm awaits your discovery. Brace yourself for additional plot twists, stunning vistas, and formidable adversaries. Bonne chance!
