I’m thrilled to share that I recently got my hands on a demo for “The House of the Dead 2: Remake” by Forever Entertainment and MegaPixel Studio! This exciting preview is now available on Steam as part of the Steam Next Fest: February 2025 Edition. Can’t wait to see more!
The demonstration showcases the initial stage of the game along with a cooperative aspect. It offers support for various languages such as English, Japanese, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, and Chinese.
Here is an overview of the game, via Forever Entertainment:
About
The Revamped House of the Dead 2 is an updated version of the second installment from the widely recognized and loved rail shooter series. You’ll assume the solitary role of a secret agent, either James or Gary, or join forces in co-op mode to eliminate the menacing undead threats that block your path.
Story
In February of the year 2000, a peaceful city was unexpectedly invaded by menacing beings. Two agents from AMS, named James Taylor and Gary Stewart, were dispatched to examine the situation. Upon their arrival, they found that the events seemed eerily similar to the Curien Mansion incident that took place in 1998. Driven by a desire to find the root of the infestation, they started fighting their way through massive groups of these creatures, shooting as they went.
Key Features
- Remastered music (with the classic soundtrack also available in the game).
- Modern graphics.
- Gameplay faithful to the original game.
- Cooperative mode.
- Multiple endings and branching levels.
