On April 3rd, The Last of Us Part II Remastered is set to debut on PC, preceding the launch of the second season of HBO Max’s highly-rated TV series adaptation. However, if you’ve already got the game in your PS5 library, there are several exciting developments to anticipate!
In collaboration with Iron Galaxy and Nixxes, developer Naughty Dog is expanding the roguelike mode, No Return, in the re-release, by introducing two fresh playable characters – Bill, the Smuggler, and Marlene, the Risk Taker.
As I delve deeper into this game, I’m discovering that each character offers a distinct playing style, opening up fresh avenues for me to explore and enjoy the game even more. Plus, there are brand-new Trophies to earn as I progress, adding an extra layer of excitement to my journey!
Additionally, here’s something new to look forward to: No Return will feature four fresh maps for players to conquer, namely Overlook, School, Streets, and Nest. These maps draw inspiration from various sections or key moments in the main storyline.
Simultaneously, Ellie’s fresh outfit inspired by Naughty Dog’s upcoming game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet can be unlocked using in-game points. For players on PC, linking your game to the PlayStation Network provides an optional way to get this costume.
For those intending to play on a PC, you’ll discover a host of additional enhancements, such as the ability to use ultrawide monitors and DLSS upscaling compatibility.
Regardless of the gaming platform you choose, there’s an abundance of exciting features to anticipate. Plus, there are plenty of reasons to revisit this game before the upcoming season of the TV show airs.
