The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered Patch Adds Support for PS5 Pro, Fixes Minor Issues

As a seasoned gamer who has navigated through the apocalyptic wastelands of The Last of Us Part 2 multiple times, I am thrilled to see the game get yet another update that caters specifically to the PS5 Pro. The addition of the new Pro mode rendering at 1440p and upscaling it to 4K using the PS5 Pro’s PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution is a welcome upgrade for those who want their post-apocalyptic adventure to be as visually stunning as possible.

The remastered version of “The Last of Us Part 2” has received a fresh update, enhancing its functionality with compatibility for the PS5 Pro. Performance and Fidelity modes remain, boasting superior frame rates compared to the PS5. Furthermore, a new Pro mode has been introduced, delivering 1440p resolution which is then upscaled to 4K using the PS5 Pro’s PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution technology.

The frame rate aims to reach 60 frames per second, but a compatible monitor or TV is necessary for this. Regarding solutions, they tackle problems such as Trophies not being awarded following save data from the PS4 version and Abby’s upper body vanishing when switching bonus skins. Additionally, some fixes have been implemented for issues like the stun bomb failing to contribute to Stun statistics in No Return.

Properly tracking weapon kills that occur after stealth kills is equally important. For further information, please refer to the detailed patch notes provided below. Note that The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered has been released for PS5, and you can find a comprehensive review for additional details. It is also rumored that a PC port is in development, but Sony has not yet announced a release date.
