The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered PC Requirements Include 150 GB Installation Space

In approximately two weeks, “The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered” will be available on PC. However, you might wonder what hardware specifications are needed to run it smoothly. Developers Naughty Dog, Nixxes, and Iron Galaxy Studios have provided several presets detailing the anticipated frame rates and resolutions.

For smooth gameplay at a resolution of 720p with a frame rate of 30 per second, using low graphics settings, you’ll need an Intel Core i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X CPU, a GeForce GTX 1650 or Radeon RX 5500XT graphics card, and 16 GB of RAM. If you aim for 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second with medium settings, it’s recommended to have an Intel Core i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, an RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 5700 graphics card, and again, 16 GB of RAM.

To run the game smoothly with a resolution of 1440p at 60 frames per second (FPS) on high settings, you’ll need a processor like the Core i7-9700K or Ryzen 7 3700X, a graphics card such as the RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6800, and at least 16 GB of RAM. To experience the game in 4K at 60 FPS with very high settings, you’ll need an even more powerful CPU like the Core i7-11700 or Ryzen 7 5700X, a top-tier graphics card such as the RTX 4080 or RX 7900XT, and a significant increase in RAM to 32 GB. The game installation will require approximately 150 GB of storage space, and it’s essential to use a solid-state drive for optimal performance.

The settings can be adjusted to accommodate different upscaling technologies such as DLSS 3 and FSR 4. Yet, considering the launch problems reported in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, only time will reveal how it performs.

On April 3rd, the upgraded version of “The Last of Us Part 2” will be available on PC. Discover all its unique traits and settings right here.
