On Thursday, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered was launched on PC, marking its arrival on this platform for the first time. This critically acclaimed 2020 action-adventure game appears to be making a good debut among its new user base.
According to SteamDB, when The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered was initially launched for PC, it peaked with around 23,350 players playing simultaneously on Steam at once. While these figures aren’t record-breaking, it’s likely that they will grow as the game progresses through its first weekend.
Compared to The Last of Us Part 1, it currently boasts a peak of approximately 36,496 concurrent players on Steam, raising curiosity about whether its sequel might outperform this number. Interestingly, in terms of reception, the PC version of Part 1 faced significant criticism upon release, while Part 2 has garnered a Very Positive user review rating on Steam at present, with 91% of its over 1000 reviews being positive.
