Over the past year, Sony’s exclusive PC games have faced significant criticism, sometimes unexpectedly so, due to a single issue: Sony now requires linking PlayStation Network accounts for all their PC releases. Since PlayStation Network is not accessible in many countries worldwide, this presents a substantial challenge.
It’s not surprising that Sony’s next significant PC release for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will follow this trend. As revealed on its official Steam page, connecting a PlayStation Network account is necessary to play this PC version of the game. While it’s a single-player game (including the remaster’s roguelike mode No Return), much like other recent Sony titles on PC, it will include the PSN overlay and support for Trophies.
In April 3rd, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will be released for PC play. Concurrently, Season 2 of the HBO series titled The Last of Us will premiere during the same month.
