The Last of Us Part II Remastered for PC to launch alongside new playable characters and maps for ‘No Return’ mode

On April 3rd, the PC edition of “The Last of Us Part II Remastered” will debut on both Steam and Epic Games Store, introducing two fresh playable characters and four additional maps for the “No Return” mode. The publishers, Sony Interactive Entertainment, and developers, Naughty Dog, have made this announcement. Simultaneously, on the same date, these new features will also be accessible for the PlayStation 5 version via its 2.0.0 update.

Here are the details:

Two New Characters

In the game “The Last of Us Part I”, two fresh figures are joining the roster – Bill and Marlene. Just like every No Return combatant, these newcomers have distinctive playstyles, creating a thrilling prospect for both novice and seasoned players to demonstrate their skills.

  • Bill is a “Smuggler” playstyle who can access a custom pump shotgun from dead drops, and receives double rewards from drops as well. He’s stronger against melee attacks but can’t dodge.
  • Marlene, meanwhile, features a “Risk Taker” playstyle that includes a Custom Assault Rifle, “All or Nothing” gambits, can reroute her No Return path once per run, and more.

Four New Maps

Four new maps have also been added to No Return.

  • Overlook, which is set high above the city of Seattle and features plenty of verticality, is the memorable site of a Seraphites encounter in the campaign.
  • School is, during the campaign, the abandoned elementary school in which Ellie and Dina face off against the W.L.F.
  • Streets is set in the overgrown Seattle neighborhood of Hillcrest.
  • Nest will be familiar to players who have played as Abby through an Infected-infested building.

PlayStation 5 Update

With the PC launch, you’ll get access to the freshly released No Return content, along with new Trophies and bug fixes. This enhancement comes as a free 2.0.0 patch that you can download on the same day.

PlayStation Network Log-In Bonuses

In simpler terms, when you play The Last of Us Part II Remastered on your computer, it will offer a PlayStation interface layer and allow you to earn PSN Trophies, provided you opt for an additional PlayStation Network login if desired.
