It’s been confirmed by HBO that The Last of Us Season 2 will likely debut in early 2025, following their initial announcement last November. Recent updates suggest an even more specific timeframe for its premiere.
In a recent discussion with journalists (through IGN), HBO and Max Content’s CEO and Chairman Casey Bloys shared that the second season of “The Last of Us” will debut in Spring 2025, indicating it might start airing from late March. However, a precise premiere date hasn’t been disclosed yet.
In August, HBO gave a brief glimpse into the forthcoming season of “The Last of Us.” They then revealed a complete trailer for it in September, as a way of celebrating “The Last of Us Day.
According to creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, Season 2 of “The Last of Us” will only partially retell the storyline presented in “The Last of Us Part 2”, as initially announced. Additionally, it’s been confirmed by Mazin that the second season will consist of seven episodes.
