The Last of Us Season 2 Premiere Date Seemingly Discovered

It appears that the release date for Season 2 of “The Last of Us” might have been unofficially revealed before HBO made an official announcement. Approximately a week ago, HBO shared a new trailer for “The Last of Us” Season 2 along with news that the new episodes would start airing in April. However, a specific date within April has not been announced yet. Some enthusiastic fans of the series believe they’ve figured out when Season 2 will premiere.

Based on the annotation by @TheLastofUsNews, it seems highly probable that The Last of Us Season 2 will debut on Sunday, April 13th. This assumption stems from HBO’s scheduling pattern, as another show of theirs, The White Lotus Season 3, is scheduled to return on February 16th and run weekly until its finale on April 6th. Given that The White Lotus Season 3 concludes on this date, it’s quite plausible that its time slot will be taken over by The Last of Us the following week.

Given HBO’s historical pattern, it seems quite logical for them to schedule The Last of Us Season 2 for April 13th. Typically, HBO airs its major shows on Sundays, and considering The White Lotus is still airing on the 6th, there are only a few remaining dates in April for TLOU Season 2. These would be April 13th, 20th, or 27th. Slotting TLOU Season 2 for April 13th would provide HBO with a smooth transition from one of their big shows to the next without any interruptions in programming.

It’s possible that HBO will begin showing Season 2 of The Last of Us on April 13th, but we’ll have an official confirmation about this soon. As of now, we can confirm that the second season will consist of just 7 episodes, making it shorter than the first season.
