One notable unveiling during Nintendo’s Partner Showcase is “The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st”, set to release in 2025. This is a complete remake of “Trails in the Sky FC”, the initial installment in the extensive “Trails” series, often regarded as the foundation for subsequent games. In this revamped version, Falcom’s unique technology is used, marking the debut of Liberl in stunning 3D. The official site (translation via DeepL) assures a smooth transition from fields to towns without any interruptions. This seamless transition is also applied to combat scenes, where attacking enemies on the field triggers a command battle instantly, without any loading screens or shifting between areas. Unlike the Trails in the Dark Ages, this remake does not incorporate real-time combat mechanics.
Look forward to the arrival of “The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st” on Nintendo Switch; further updates will be shared about its potential availability on other platforms.
