The most recent addition to Falcom’s “The Legend of Heroes” series is now accessible on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. This new installment serves as a follow-up to last year’s “Trails through Daybreak,” continuing the narrative of Van Arkride within the Calvard Republic. Initially, life appears tranquil, even more so following the first game’s resolution; however, a chilling murder mystery soon disrupts the calm.
In this new iteration, we see the comeback of figures such as Agnès Claudel, Feri Al-Fayed, and Elaine Auclaire, while Swin Abel and Nadia Rayne from “Trails into Reverie” make their entrance onto the scene. Unlike its predecessor, the storyline unfolds along two distinct paths, each with a unique group of characters tackling different challenges. Additionally, fresh elements like hacking and tailing suspects are introduced to add depth to gameplay.
Additionally, there’s a fresh interactive feature called the Fairy Tale Garden, where you can assemble your preferred team and explore different levels, gathering prizes throughout. For a comprehensive look at its pros and cons, don’t miss our review!
Falcom has yet to specify when The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell, O Zemuria, the upcoming installment, will be released in the Western region. Keep an eye out for further announcements. Currently available in Japan on both PS4 and PS5 platforms.
