Excitedly, I share the news that my favorite series, “The Lincoln Lawyer,” has been renewed for a fourth season! During the “Next on Netflix” event, it was confirmed that Manuel Garcia-Rulfo’s character, Mickey Haller, will return to our screens after the jaw-dropping ending of season 3. The climax of “The Gods of Guilt,” in which Mickey uncovers the death of his friend and client Gloria Dayton (Fiona Rene), along with DA investigator Neil Bishop’s (Holt McCallany) confession to covering up crimes, culminated in a shocking moment where Neil shot himself on the stand. I can hardly wait for October to roll around so we can continue the journey with Mickey!
However, in another shocking finale development, Mickey was stopped for a missing license plate. Upon investigating further, an officer discovered probable reasons to examine his trunk, revealing it stained with blood. Inside the trunk lay the corpse of Mickey’s previous client, Sam Scales (played by Christopher Thornton), who had recently become the client of Mickey’s ex-spouse and newly-qualified attorney Lorna Crane (portrayed by Becki Newton). This con man had been a thorn in Mickey’s side.
The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 Release Date
As a devoted cinephile, I’m eagerly waiting for the fourth season of “The Lincoln Lawyer” on Netflix, but unfortunately, they haven’t given us a specific release date just yet. However, production for the new season is set to start in February. Given that the series usually takes around five months to film, it’s safe to assume that we might be able to watch season 4 before the year 2025 comes to an end. I can hardly wait!
Who’s in The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 Cast?
Joining Garcia-Rulfo once more are Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole portraying Izzy, and Angus Sampson in the role of Cisco. Additionally, Netflix has confirmed that Neve Campbell, who plays Maggie McPherson, Mickey’s initial ex-wife, is expected to reappear in season 4.
How Many Episodes Is The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4?
Like the first three seasons, The Lincoln Lawyer season 4 will consist of 10 episodes.
What Is The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 About?
The new series is set on the novel “The Law of Innocence” by author Michael Connelly, published in 2020, where Mickey is accused of murder but cannot afford the $5 million bail set by a vengeful judge. As a result, he decides to defend himself from his cell at the Twin Towers Correctional Center in downtown Los Angeles, while looking over his shoulder as a court officer, making him an immediate target. The book’s synopsis reveals that Mickey uncovers a corruption scheme within the jail and becomes an enemy to many. However, the greater threat is against him – Mickey believes he has been framed by either a new adversary or an old one. While his team, including his half-brother Harry Bosch, investigates, Mickey uses all his courtroom skills to challenge the incriminating evidence. Even if he manages to secure a ‘not guilty’ verdict, Mickey realizes that it won’t be enough for true exoneration. He must discover who truly committed the murder and why – that is the law of innocence.
Executive producer and co-showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez previously shared with Variety that Season 4 is inspired by the novel “The Law of Innocence“, and it revolves around Mickey being falsely accused for the murder of Sam Scales. Therefore, this is the next book we’re planning to adapt.
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but share an exciting tidbit about my favorite show. The brilliant co-showrunner, Ted Humphrey, hinted that the stakes have been significantly raised this season by making Mickey the main client. This plot twist was also envisioned by the creative mind behind the books, Michael, which adds a delightful layer of continuity to the storyline.
The first three seasons of The Lincoln Lawyer are streaming now on Netflix.
