The Night Manager season 2 star shares new filming picture with Tom Hiddleston

As a movie buff with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the news about Camila Morrone joining The Night Manager season 2 has me more than just a little excited! With Tom Hiddleston reprising his leading role and the return of other beloved characters like Olivia Colman, Alistair Petrie, Douglas Hodge, Michael Nardone, and Noah Jupe, this series is shaping up to be a masterpiece. The addition of new faces such as Diego Calva, Indira Varma, Paul Chahidi, and Hayley Squires only adds to the intrigue.

In an exciting development, Camila Morrone, who’s part of the fresh lineup for The Night Manager’s upcoming season 2, recently posted a backstage photo featuring herself alongside fellow actor Tom Hiddleston on set.

For the first glimpse into the making of Night Manager season 2, it’s evident that everyone is enjoying themselves on the set, as evidenced by a fun snapshot of the two main actors posing together with under-eye masks in an old-school Polaroid picture, which seems to be displayed in what appears to be their dressing room.

Morrone posted a photo on Instagram with the caption: “Pine and Roxana are absent, working tirelessly to deliver The Night Manager Season 2 for everyone.

From the recent post, we’ve learned that the character played by Morrone will be named Roxana. It has also been confirmed that her role in the upcoming episode of Daisy Jones & The Six is expected to be significant.

And, of course, Hiddleston is reprising his leading role as Jonathan Pine.

In addition to Olivia Colman’s character Angela Burr, Alistair Petrie’s Sandy Langbourne, Douglas Hodge’s Rex Mayhew, Michael Nardone’s Frisky, and Noah Jupe’s Daniel Roper, more characters will be reappearing.

In addition to familiar ones, several fresh talents are set to appear in The Night Manager’s second season. These include Diego Calva (from Babylon), Indira Varma (a cast member of Doctor Who), Paul Chahidi (known for Wicked Little Letters), and Hayley Squires (recognized from Inside No. 9).

Speaking about the return of the original cast, Lindsay Salt, Director of BBC Drama, expressed her delight in a statement: “Olivia Colman’s remarkable portrayal of Angela Burr in the initial season of The Night Manager left an indelible impression on us all, and we couldn’t be happier to have her back working alongside Tom Hiddleston again.

With an exceptional ensemble including Alistair Petrie, Douglas Hodge, Michael Nardone, and Noah Jupe reprising their roles, and production commencing in London, the upcoming second season of The Night Manager is set to deliver even more thrilling drama, stunning visuals, captivating mysteries, and nail-biting suspense.

As for now, details about the cast are emerging, but we’re still in the dark regarding the specifics of the new season. However, what we can confirm is that the gap between seasons will be incorporated into the storyline, and the narrative will resume eight years following the conclusion of the initial series.

Previously, when speaking with Deadline regarding the time jump, Hiddleston expressed his enthusiasm stating: “I’m genuinely thrilled that it’s been around eight to nine years since the initial season.

He added: “These characters have been alive in the world in the last eight or nine years, and I think, hopefully our show will reflect that… and we can create the same sort of chemistry we made on the first one.”

The Night Manager season 1 is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
