This year’s Xbox Games Showcase now officially has a scheduled date, similar to the last two years. Following the main event, there will be a separate showcase specifically dedicated to a highly anticipated upcoming game – Obsidian Entertainment’s “The Outer Worlds 2“.
During this event, fans get a peek behind the scenes at the studio, as team members share fresh details and perspectives about the upcoming gameplay. The length is yet to be determined, and since the previous two Directs for Starfield and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 have shown quite a bit of variation, it’s tough to predict.
Despite the fact that it has not been officially confirmed yet, there’s optimism that The Outer Worlds 2 will be released this year. At The Game Awards 2024, Obsidian unveiled its latest gameplay trailer and emphasized that the upcoming sci-fi RPG is expected to be twice as expansive as the original. It features new weapons, characters, and locations, and it seems poised to present a significant visual upgrade, even boasting ray traced reflections in previews.
