As a fan with a penchant for dark narratives and complex character development, I must admit that The Penguin has left me utterly captivated, particularly with the enigmatic character of Victor Aguilar (Rhenzy Feliz). His transformation from a seemingly innocent boy to a ruthless accomplice has been nothing short of mesmerizing.
In the series, some viewers have found the character Victor Aguilar (played by Rhenzy Feliz) unusual amidst the lineup of gangsters, psychopaths, and criminals in The Penguin. However, a pivotal flashback in Episode 3 demonstrated that Victor was initially a well-behaved child from a decent background with a diligent father. This scene hinted at an underlying desire for improvement within the young boy, but it appears this aspiration has turned into a blazing ambition as Victor has assisted Oz Cobb/Penguin (portrayed by Colin Farrell) in navigating an underworld power struggle – to some extent. The Penguin Episode 6 pushes Vic to a turning point where he must irrevocably transform into a villain.

In the heat of my conflicts with Sofia Falcone and Sal Maroni (Episode 5), I found myself in a tough spot when Oz decided to relocate my mother, Francis Cobb, to an apartment in the grimy slums of Crown Point – our old stomping ground. However, this move didn’t go unnoticed by Calvin, the local powerbroker, who quickly sussed out that I was The Penguin’s right-hand man in a new, significant operation.
In Victor’s initial killing, things didn’t turn out as smoothly as he anticipated: Calvin met a gruesome and agonizing end in a dark alleyway, with Victor standing before him throughout the ordeal. What made the murder even more chilling was what transpired when Victor returned and informed Oz about the incident: Penguin offered Vic some paternal counsel, suggesting that when it comes to taking lives, “It gets easier,” a statement that would only serve to draw Vic deeper into the abyss of criminality with a soul-crushing grip.
Indeed, swift retribution arrives for Vic’s despicable act when Sofia Falcone locates Oz’s secret lair at Crown Point, discovering Vic and Francis engaged in a joyous dance, commemorating Oz’s rise as the leader of his own crime syndicate. This leaves viewers questioning whether Vic has a large ‘death omen’ looming over him, serving as a consequence for following a sinister path. However, other fan theories regarding The Penguin propose that “Victor Aguilar” might ultimately transform into one of Batman’s most infamous adversaries.
