Having binge-watched countless shows and read countless books in this genre, I can confidently say that this series promises an exhilarating ride.
The captivating mystery series titled “The Perfect Couple” unfolds around a disastrous wedding day, as a lifeless body is discovered on the shore on the very morning when Amelia Sacks was set to exchange vows.
Initially intended to wed into the affluent Winbury family on Nantucket, she found herself amidst revelations and suspicions as dark truths surfaced following an unexplained death on the shore.
The six-episode Netflix series, sharing its title with Elin Hilderbrand’s novel, boasts a large cast, as confirmed by two of its actors, Liev Schreiber and Sam Nivola. These stars hint that viewers should buckle up for an exciting journey filled with unexpected twists and turns.
Additionally, it was clear to me why they considered turning it into a TV series, specifically a six-episode one. The storyline concludes with intriguing cliffhangers and unexpected plot twists – elements that are popular among modern audiences.

Simultaneously, Nivola, portraying Will Winbury, shared: “Indeed, I skipped the book, but the script was captivating to me. Frankly, I wasn’t anticipating the finale or any of the twists it took.”
“To be honest, I’m not good at keeping up with family movies since I often don’t recognize the characters. Yet, it’s fascinating and enjoyable when I do.”
Schreiber commented: “Susanne (Bier, the director) significantly enriched [the project]. Her unique approach to dark comedy, particularly the bleak perspective she excels in, provided an exceptional interpretation of American nobility.”
Besides Nicole Kidman, the main cast also features Dakota Fanning, Eve Hewson, Billy Howle, Meghann Fahy, Ishaan Khatter, and Jack Reynor, along with some other talented actors.
