The Plucky Squire is Fixing its Overbearing Tutorials

As a seasoned gamer with decades under my belt, I must say that The Plucky Squire has been a delightful addition to this year’s indie game lineup. However, I can understand the frustration some players felt due to the overabundance of tutorials. But fear not, dear gamers! All Possible Futures and Devolver Digital have listened to our cries and released an update that addresses these concerns.

The game titled “The Plucky Squire” is undeniably among the standout indie releases of 2024, a commendation that carries weight given the abundance of exceptional indie games this year. However, some players found its extensive tutorials to be somewhat overbearing. Fortunately, the developers at All Possible Futures are planning an update to rectify this issue.

In a recent announcement for their action-adventure game on PC, Devolver Digital and the studio have revealed a fresh, complimentary update. This update introduces a Streamlined Experience, a condensed mode intended for players who prefer a less guided gaming journey. The Streamlined Experience reduces or eliminates camera tips, tutorial dialogues, and other instances where control is temporarily taken away from the player.

Additionally, this update introduces fresh character portraits for key figures, as well as some bug corrections. To clarify, the update can be downloaded immediately on PC platforms, while console users can expect it to arrive shortly thereafter.
