However, the recent news that the game’s release has been delayed from August 15 to Fall 2024 came as a bittersweet surprise.
Last year, the announcement of “The Precinct” generated much interest due to its plan for a cop-centric top-down action game reminiscent of classic “GTA” titles. In just under a month, the release of this game from Fallen Tree Games and publisher Kwalee was anticipated. However, they’ve recently shared an update that the launch will be delayed, meaning players must wait a while longer for “The Precinct.”
Originally planned for an August 15 launch, Fallen Tree Games has revealed that the release of “The Precinct” will now be pushed back to later in the year. The team explained that they will make use of the extra development time to enhance gameplay, add more polish, and continue addressing bugs.

After careful thought and consultation with our publisher Kwalee, we regretfully conclude that releasing “The Precinct” by August 15th isn’t feasible given the timeframe left. Consequently, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the launch until Fall 2024.
