The Precinct Has Been Delayed to Fall 2024

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent exploring open worlds and engaging in thrilling action games, I was genuinely excited when I first heard about “The Precinct.” The concept of playing as a rookie cop instead of the usual criminal in a top-down game reminiscent of classic Grand Theft Auto titles piqued my interest. However, the recent news that the game’s release has been delayed from August 15 to Fall 2024 came as a bittersweet surprise.

Last year, the announcement of “The Precinct” generated much interest due to its plan for a cop-centric top-down action game reminiscent of classic “GTA” titles. In just under a month, the release of this game from Fallen Tree Games and publisher Kwalee was anticipated. However, they’ve recently shared an update that the launch will be delayed, meaning players must wait a while longer for “The Precinct.”

Originally planned for an August 15 launch, Fallen Tree Games has revealed that the release of “The Precinct” will now be pushed back to later in the year. The team explained that they will make use of the extra development time to enhance gameplay, add more polish, and continue addressing bugs.

At Fallen Tree Games, we’ve consistently strived to develop the finest version of “The Precinct” that we can. Our goal is to provide you with a captivating and enjoyable gaming experience of top-notch caliber using the resources at our disposal.

After careful thought and consultation with our publisher Kwalee, we regretfully conclude that releasing “The Precinct” by August 15th isn’t feasible given the timeframe left. Consequently, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the launch until Fall 2024.

“An extra period will be beneficial in perfecting the gameplay, squashing any lingering glitches, and delivering the flawless experience we aimed for from the beginning as we developed The Precinct. “

As a seasoned video game enthusiast with decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that I’ve seen my fair share of release date announcements and trailers. And let me tell you, Fallen Tree Games and Kwalee’s latest announcement hits close to home.
