Following the recent debut of its crime drama game “The Precinct“, Fallen Tree Games has shared additional information about the post-launch support they have planned for
The team was greatly impressed by the numerous positive remarks and helpful bug reports you’ve shared with us. To clarify, while we might not be able to respond individually to each one, rest assured that every comment and report is being reviewed carefully and will be used in shaping our future plans.
The studio has outlined five major problems that their programming team is currently addressing: resolving general bugs, enhancing player experience, adjusting crime rates, modifying AI behavior, and rectifying escort unit issues. These key issues are being addressed as immediate goals. Meanwhile, Fallen Tree Games is inviting players to provide feedback on potential new features and content for the game in the near-to-long future.
To address general issues, the studio is primarily working on major bugs reported by players and has been seeking their valuable input. Additionally, they acknowledge there may be numerous tricky edge cases and unique glitches that can be hard to trace and rectify due to the expansive nature of the open-world game. The developers are also considering player feedback while introducing new features aimed at improving overall user experience in the future.
Regarding adjusting the crime level in the game, the studio has pointed out that the crime rate in Averno City is excessively high. They stated, “Crime in Averno City might be intense, but we aim to maintain a degree of authenticity.” In response, efforts are being made to decrease the occurrence of simultaneous criminal activities. Additionally, adjustments will be made to the AI behavior and escort units as well.
For now, our immediate attention is on certain aspects of The Precinct, but rest assured, we’re also gathering your ideas for potential additional features and content in the future. We aim to expand the game with new elements, though specifics are still under consideration.”
Or, more conversational:
“Right now, we’re working hard on some key parts of The Precinct, but we’re also listening to your suggestions for what could make it even better in the future. We’ve got big plans for more content and exciting additions, but we haven’t quite decided on the details yet.
As a thrilled fan, I’ve just learned that “The Precinct” was launched on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S this week! What’s more, there’s a physical edition up for grabs, packed with goodies like a Steelbook case, the original game’s soundtrack in digital format, a real-life map of Averno City to aid my exploration of its gritty streets, and all of this for just $29.99 across platforms. Can’t wait to dive in!
