With Sauron back in the picture and the promise of an epic battle that could potentially outshine even the Battle of Five Armies, it’s clear we’re in for a treat. At last, after a considerable delay, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has returned on Amazon Prime Video, promising undoubtedly an unforgettable second season.
The upcoming season resumes post-season 1 finale, where it’s evident that Sauron resurfaced. Galadriel expelled him earlier, yet in this new season, he will employ his wit to regain his power and supervise the crafting of the Rings of Power.
Patrick McKay, one of the co-showrunners, hinted that this upcoming season will feature a fight that is “undoubtedly the most daring endeavor we’ve undertaken on the series,” placing it among the most daring battles in television history.
This season, it’s been made clear by co-showrunner JD Payne that we’ll definitively learn the identity of the enigmatic figure known as The Stranger, a character whose true nature has long been speculated to be none other than Gandalf.

When is The Rings of Power episode 4 released on Prime Video?
Initially, the first three installments of The Rings of Power were all made available on Thursday, August 29th. However, just like many other Amazon Prime Video productions, the show has since moved to a weekly release pattern.
That means that the fourth episode will be released on Thursday 5th September.
