As a seasoned gamer and collector with a soft spot for all things fantasy, I can’t help but feel a thrill running down my spine at the prospect of The Sandman Season 2 and the accompanying Funko Pop collection. Back in 2018, I snagged the Death Funko Pop from the comic series, and it has been a cherished addition to my collection ever since.

In 2018, Funko introduced a popular Pop figure depicting Death from Neil Gaiman’s acclaimed The Sandman comic book series. Currently, you can purchase this figure on Amazon. As for now, the second live-action season of The Sandman on Netflix is slated for release in 2025. Excitingly, Funko is working on a line of Pop figures inspired by the upcoming show

This assortment features a conventional Dream figure, however, acquiring multiple ones could potentially boost your chances of obtaining the Chase edition featuring Dream’s helm. Additionally, there are Pop figures of Lucienne with Matthew, The Corinthian (with his unique mouth-eyes), and Lucifer. Pre-orders commence today, September 4th at 12pm ET on Entertainment Earth ($7.95 flat rate shipping, free for orders over $99+) and Amazon. What is The Sandman Season 2 About?

In Season 1 of The Sandman, they followed the storylines from the initial two comic volumes, Preludes & Nocturnes and The Doll’s House. Additionally, two separate stories, “Dream of a Thousand Cats” and “Calliope,” were also adapted as bonus episodes. As for Season 2, it is anticipated to commence by adapting the fourth comic volume titled Season of Mists, which features Dream visiting Hell, with more standalone episodes possibly in development, as suggested by Gaiman during his interview with egmr.ru in August 2022

Neil Gaiman expressed his eagerness to adapt certain stories from “The Sandman,” particularly “‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream,’ ‘Ramadan,’ and ‘Hob’s Leviathan.’ He is intrigued by the challenge of adapting ‘Ramadan’ due to its unique narrative structure, pondering whether they should revert to animation or invent a new method of storytelling. He also expressed excitement about ‘Hob’s Leviathan,’ a 1890s gambling-on-a tall ship story, as he admires Kingsley’s Hob character and the balance between humor, humanity, and occasional unpleasantness that the character embodies

The Sandman Season 1 is streaming now on Netflix and is also available on Blu-ray.
