For another 14 seasons, The Simpsons are set to persist, thanks to Fox’s decision to commission additional episodes for the animated sitcom, bringing its total run to at least season 40.
Under the label of a significant animation agreement, Fox has additionally approved four more seasons for Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, and American Dad! – with the latter making its comeback following an absence of 11 years from broadcast.
The deadline indicates that each of the four seasons will consist of 15 episodes instead of the usual 22 episodes, a decision that seems to be preferred by the broadcasting network.
Michael Thorn, president of Fox Television Network, expressed about the renewals: “This fresh agreement underscores the ongoing appeal of these timeless comedies, as well as our long-standing, fruitful partnership with 20th Television Animation and the talented creators – particularly Seth for this occasion – along with the outstanding performers who lend their voices to these modern masterpieces.

With this renewal, you’ll be able to enjoy Bob’s Burgers up until season 19, Family Guy up until season 27, and American Dad! up until season 23. Marci Proietto, head of 20th Television Animation, expressed her excitement about the news, stating: “Securing a four-season order from our longtime partners at Fox for these legendary animated shows is an incredible milestone.
We’re thrilled that these iconic series – The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, and Bob’s Burgers – will endure for hundreds more episodes. This means that both new and long-time enthusiasts can enjoy, revisit, and immerse themselves in these shows for years to come.
