As a devoted fan of gripping legal dramas and heart-wrenching love stories, I couldn’t be more thrilled to hear about the return of “The Split”! Two years may seem like an eternity in the world of TV, but when it comes to immersing myself in the lives of characters as rich and complex as Hannah, Nathan, and their legal family, every moment is worth the wait.
Over two years since the airing of Season 3 of “The Split” on BBC One, I’m thrilled to share that we now have a definite date for us enthusiasts to rejoin Hannah, Nathan, and the entire cast once more.
In a two-part special titled “The Split: Barcelona,” they are due to make their comeback, scheduled for broadcast during the holiday season on both BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Based on recent confirmation, fans won’t need to hold their breath for long! The first two episodes are set to be aired at 9pm on both the 29th and 31st of December, falling on Sunday and Monday nights respectively.
Prepare yourself for some sunlight brightening the somber winter evenings, as the on-screen family portrayed by actors Nicola Walker and Stephen Mangan embark on a trip to the vineyards of Catalonia for a wedding.
In these upcoming episodes, we’ll see familiar faces like Annabel Scholey, Fiona Button, Elizabeth Roberts, and Alex Guersman reappearing. Additionally, Toby Stevens is set to join the cast as a fresh character, Archie Moore, who is a lawyer.
Over the course of a single weekend, each episode will delve into Hannah’s journey where she is faced with exorcising the specters of her past and embracing the prospect of love once more, however, she encounters resistance in stepping forward towards a fresh start.
In the pipeline for fans of The Split series is not only this particular project, but additionally, a spin-off titled “The Split-Up” is being developed as well.
The upcoming series will unfold in Manchester and delve into the life of a fresh legal family, the Kishans, as they grapple with uncertainty about their law firm’s standing.
The specific air dates for the episodes haven’t been determined yet, since the series was initially scheduled to begin production earlier this year; however, it has been postponed due to some editorial issues.
