Confirmation has been made regarding the accumulated ratings over a week for episode 5 of Doctor Who’s fifteenth season, titled “The Story and the Engine.” This particular episode features the Doctor’s journey to Lagos, Nigeria, where he visits a barbershop concealing a hidden secret.
The episode broadcasted on BBC One at 7:10 pm on Saturday, 10th May initially attracted an overnight audience of 1.59 million viewers. However, when data from the subsequent seven days was compiled by Barb, the viewer count increased significantly to approximately 2.704 million viewers.
The data encompasses viewers who watched the recent science fiction series on both BBC One television and BBC iPlayer, as new episodes from this popular show were made available on the online service every Saturday morning at 8am before being aired on TV later in the day.
Among all episodes from Doctor Who’s Season 15, The Story and the Engine has the smallest total viewership count thus far.
3,571,000 individuals tuned in for the debut of “The Robot Revolution,” while 3,004,000 followed along for “Lux.” Notably, 3,230,000 viewers joined me in watching episode three, titled “The Well.
Originally, Episode 4, titled “Lucky Day,” had the poorest cumulative seven-day viewership across all episodes at 2.802 million. However, this record has since been surpassed by the fifth episode.
