Just yesterday, Street Fighter 6 marked its two-year anniversary, and along with that comes the exciting news of a fresh sales record achieved by this iconic 2D fighting game.
Publisher Capcom has announced the game has now sold more than 5 million copies:
As a passionate gamer, I can’t help but marvel at the fact that the epic saga of Street Fighter has managed to captivate over 56 million gamers worldwide (as of March 2025). That means the newest edition I’ve been eagerly awaiting makes up approximately one tenth of this staggering total. The power and legacy of Street Fighter continues to amaze me!
2023 saw the launch of Street Fighter 6, which was met with broad approval and a powerful start. Since then, it’s been consistently updated and new downloadable content has been regularly added.
More recently, Capcom announced their strategies for the game’s third year, which includes a new set of familiar faces making a comeback.
