The Tower season 3: Release date, cast, plot and latest news

As an ardent admirer of gripping crime dramas, I eagerly anticipate the return of ITV’s The Tower for its third season. The captivating performances by the talented cast, particularly Gemma Whelan as DS Sarah Collins, have always left me on the edge of my seat.

Intriguingly, the captivating crime series “The Tower” by ITV will be back for its third season. The show’s principal actor, Gemma Whelan who portrays Detective Sergeant Sarah Collins, has hinted at some shocking twists, unexpected turns, and a moral compass that seems to have taken a tumble.

She strictly adheres to the rules during her law enforcement, but I’m starting to doubt her strict adherence this season.

This case deeply affects her, as it involves a child who was stabbed. Typically, she’s able to influence outcomes due to her strict adherence to police procedures; however, this situation is chaotic and unpredictable because the rules seem to be of little help.

“She’s shown a mirror this season, and for the first time, Sarah can’t fix it.”

The Tower season 3 plot: What’s it about?

The Tower season 3: Release date, cast, plot and latest news

The new season is based on Kate London’s third novel, Gallowstree Lane.

Two years have passed since the season 2 finale, and Sarah Collins finds herself delving into a new case: the stabbing of a young teenager. This investigation leads her to encounter Lizzie (Tahirah Sharif), who is juggling her roles as a detective and a mother.

Sarah finds herself at odds with Detective Inspector Kieran Shaw, leading Operation Perseus – a covert police unit established to dismantle the drug empire of South London’s notorious kingpin, Shakiel Oliver, as per the official summary.

Kieran collaborates with Steve Bradshaw, disguised as an operative within Shakiel’s organization. Their disagreement revolves around Ryan Kennedy, a 15-year-old who observed a fatal stabbing but is also a crucial member of Shakiel’s inner group.

“As Perseus heads to its shocking climax, Ryan will have a surprising role to play.”

Sarah and Lizzie’s tales are deeply moving, and the events at Farah Mehenni’s tower, which I named The Tower, have a profound impact on each character’s life, echoing throughout their stories.

“More and more pieces of this puzzle seem to be fitting into place, quite dramatically. It’s shaping up to be quite the gripping tale, reminiscent of season 3 of a thriller series. This story promises many intriguing developments, so we’re really looking forward to it. I believe everyone will find it captivating.”
