As a devoted fan with a heart full of nostalgia for The Umbrella Academy, I eagerly devoured every word from Gabriel B? and Justin H. Min during their recent interviews. Their shared enthusiasm for the series is infectious, making me even more excited for the final season!

As a long-time fan of The Umbrella Academy, I am thrilled that the fourth and final season is now streaming on Netflix. Having followed this unique and captivating series since its inception, I can confidently say that it has become a staple in my weekly viewing schedule. I was fortunate enough to attend the premiere of the final season in Los Angeles this week, and I must admit that the anticipation was palpable among fans.

B replied, “I don’t believe so, as I’ve noticed over three seasons and now the fourth one, these are two distinct entities. When asked about elements from the comics missing in the show, I stated that each alteration and decision made for the series is intended to suit this particular storytelling medium.”

He went on saying, “I’m really fond of all these modifications because they enhance the narrative, fit perfectly with this timeframe, align well with this character or the overall cast. All in all, I’m a fan of these changes, and I admire the way they were executed.”

He expressed his preference by stating, “My top choice for the best alteration was incorporating Ben into the series, portraying him as Klaus’s ghost. It’s a brilliant concept and it proved beneficial in all seasons.”

In our conversation, we included Justin H. Min, starring as Ben in the show. We shared with him that B considers him to be his favorite new cast member, to which Justin playfully responded, “Well, I’ve certainly cashed his compliment – the check for it is on its way, Gabriel.”

“Indeed,” I chimed in when asked about the liberating experience of playing a character with less established source material compared to others. “During the first season, I could sense the weight of expectation on my fellow cast members, like they were saying, ‘Oh no, this legendary franchise.’ But I was thinking, ‘Hey guys, I’ve got this. I can chart my own course.'”

“It was truly enjoyable collaborating with Steve [Blackman] in creating this character from scratch and witnessing its transformations and developments throughout its lifespan. The journey has been exhilarating, more so as an actor. It’s a rare chance to remain on the same series, portraying the same character, but bringing completely distinct personalities to life.”
