The Umbrella Academy: Gabriel Ba Shares Disappointing Update About Volume 4

As a dedicated fan who’s been following The Umbrella Academy since its comic book debut, I must say I’m both excited and apprehensive about the upcoming fourth season on Netflix. On one hand, I can hardly wait to see how the story unfolds, especially since the creators have teased a “complete” ending that ties up all loose ends. But on the other, I can’t help but feel a twinge of sadness knowing this might be the last hurrah for my beloved Hargreeves siblings.

Tomorrow, Netflix will debut the last and concluding season of “The Umbrella Academy.” Previously hinted by those involved in the production, the finale promises a satisfying conclusion. Although the show is wrapping up, fans can anticipate more “Umbrella Academy” comics. This week, ComicBook attended the Los Angeles premiere and spoke with Gabriel B., comic book artist who works on “The Umbrella Academy” and serves as co-executive producer. During their conversation, he hinted that a new volume of “The Umbrella Academy” comics is forthcoming, though there’s no release date announced yet.

B responded by saying, “To be honest, I haven’t given it much thought regarding other comics that might be suitable for television adaptation. Comics are my passion and I’m deeply engrossed in them, primarily focusing on more Umbrella projects at the moment. We’re currently working on the fourth volume of Umbrella, and I have several other projects in progress as well.”

He replied, “As for the release date of the new volume, I’m afraid I can’t say just yet. We are currently in the process of creating it, so my focus is mainly on that task.”
