As a fan who has been eagerly awaiting the return of The Umbrella Academy, I must say that Millie Davis truly stole the show in season 4! Joining the cast in its final chapter, Davis portrayed Claire Hargreeves with such grace and authenticity that it felt like she had been part of the family all along.
In a week, Netflix unveiled the final chapter of “The Umbrella Academy,” where the Hargreeves clan embarks on another thrilling escapade. The primary cast members all returned for this season, with fresh faces added to the mix. One of these newcomers is Millie Davis, portraying Allison Hargreeves’ (Emmy Raver-Lampman) grown daughter, a role previously filled by Coco Assad. At the Los Angeles premiere of the final season, ComicBook got to talk with Davis who shared insights on learning from Raver-Lampman and performing stunts.
As I stepped onto the set for the last season, it was a mix of joy and sadness for me, but the cast made me feel right at home and truly part of their gaming clan. I can’t express enough gratitude for this warm welcome. I’m just thrilled to see how things unfold in this final chapter.
As a gaming enthusiast, I revisited some episodes from the series, mainly to observe Allison’s interactions with Claire. You see, Claire had been mentioned frequently throughout the seasons as someone Allison seemed keen on reconnecting with. So, I wanted to take a peek at how their dynamic unfolded.
Davis mentioned that he also analyzed the actress portraying the younger Claire to observe her facial expressions and behaviors. He hopes this came across in their scenes together, as Emmy is fantastic and it’s a privilege for him to work with her.
Millie Davis on Doing a Stunt in The Umbrella Academy:
In the fresh season of The Umbrella Academy, there’s a thrilling instant where I, as Claire, take down an assailant with a swift and decisive blow!
As a fan, let me tell you, I put in countless hours practicing for that particular scene. To be honest, I was quite anxious since I hadn’t attempted any stunts or similar activities before. Despite its modest size, there was a significant amount of synchronization required to ensure everyone stayed safe during the execution.
She shared that the part she enjoyed most happened on set when they provided her with a plush bat to use instead of a full metal one. The actor portraying that character was a seasoned stunt performer and suggested exchanging it for an authentic bat to enhance realism. I hesitated, but he assured me, saying, “Let’s do this! Give me your best shot with the real bat – make it look as genuine as possible.” So there I was, holding a real metal bat, striking him with all my might.
What Is The Umbrella Academy Season 4 About?
As a long-time fan of The Umbrella Academy, I eagerly anticipated reading about the final season’s plotline. Having closely followed the adventures and tribulations of the Hargreeves siblings throughout their unique and often perilous journeys, I was intrigued to see how their lives would unfold post-Hotel Oblivion’s climactic battle.
