As a seasoned movie reviewer with a penchant for quirky soundtracks and a soft spot for superhero sagas, I found myself utterly charmed by The Umbrella Academy’s final hurrah. The series’ fourth season served up a delightful symphony of tunes that not only complemented the narrative but also tugged at my heartstrings in ways only the most poignant music can.
Instead of skipping the fourth season of The Umbrella Academy due to its short run of only six episodes, it was never an option for us not to savor the fantastic music selection that this Netflix show always delivers.
The series featuring Elliot Page, Robert Sheehan, and Aidan Gallagher portraying the superpowered Hargreeves siblings has concluded its run (with the possibility of a sequel or spin-off yet to be determined).
However, should you find yourself overwhelmed by emotions as you bid farewell, much like Steve Blackman, the show’s creator, and the rest of the cast, a speedy pick-me-up could be found in the cheerful playlist of tunes that accompanied the show.

- Talking Heads – This Must Be the Place
As a devoted fan, I couldn’t help but share that the enchanting “This Must Be the Place” by Talking Heads was Blackman’s choice for the closing theme of our beloved series. In truth, this song has been a part of my ending vision since the show’s inception.
Originally, I had planned to create a dance routine for the song using our talented cast members. However, after discussing it with a professional choreographer, it turned out that they didn’t possess the energy or the time to execute the moves as intended. The actors were simply too exhausted, and we couldn’t seem to find a suitable moment in our busy production schedule.
He added: “The crew doesn’t know it’s in, they’re going to lose their minds.”
